What we collect, and why
Short version: we collect the least we can get away with, we do not sell it, and you can have it deleted by sending one email.
What we collect
If you join the letters. Your email address, so we can send you the monthly note. Nothing else.
If you leave a review. The name you choose to display, your rating and what you wrote. An email address only if you choose to add one, and it is never published next to your review.
If you place an order. The name, address, contact details and payment information needed to actually get a jar to you. Payment is handled by our checkout provider — we never see or store your full card number.
Cookies
We set a cookie to remember which currency you chose, so prices do not reset every time you come back. If you have items in your basket, a second cookie remembers that basket. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party profiling cookies on this site.
Who else sees it
Only the services that make the site work: our database host, our email provider (to actually deliver the letters) and our checkout and delivery providers (to take payment and get the parcel to your door). We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Newsletter emails until you unsubscribe. Reviews until you ask us to remove them. Order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require us to.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hi@utanoskin.com and we will action it. Every letter we send has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.
If you are in the UK or the EU, the GDPR gives you these rights by law and you can complain to your national data protection authority if you think we have handled something badly.
