Getting a jar to you

Every jar is made by hand in Harare and sent out from there. Here is how that works, and what to do if something is wrong.

Where we ship

We currently send jars to Zimbabwe, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. Our community is concentrated in Harare, Gokwe, Kadoma, Cape Town, London, Birmingham, Dubai. If your country is not on that list, email us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you.

Costs and timing

Delivery cost is calculated at checkout once you enter your address, so you see the full amount before you pay. Nothing is added afterwards.

Because each batch is whipped and filled by hand, dispatch depends on where your order falls in a batch. If you need jars by a specific date — a wedding, a birthday, someone travelling — email us first and we will confirm what is actually possible rather than guess.

If something arrives damaged

Email hi@utanoskin.com with your order number and a photograph. Do not throw the jar away before you contact us — the photograph is what lets us work out whether it was the courier or us, and fix it properly.

Returns

For hygiene reasons we cannot resell a butter once its seal is broken, so opened jars cannot be returned unless there is something wrong with the product itself. Unopened jars in their original condition can be returned — email us first so we can tell you where to send them.

If you are buying from the UK or the EU, your statutory cancellation rights apply on top of anything written here, and nothing on this page takes them away.

Texture is not a fault

Natural butters soften in heat and firm up as they cool, and a jar that has travelled through a warm airport may arrive with a different surface than it left with. That is the butter behaving like butter. It does not affect how it works. If you are unsure, send us a photo and we will tell you.
